Summer 2026 Academic Calendar

(All dates are tentative until closer to the beginning of the semester.)

UG = Undergraduate students; GRAD = Graduate students

Part of Term (POT) values indicate the time frame of the course.  The Class Schedule shows what part of term each course is scheduled in to assist with identifying deadlines.

  • 1 = Full 12 week semester (5/18/2026 – 8/6/2026 plus finals and often for independent study)
  • SF = Full 12 week semester (5/18/2026 – 8/6/2026 plus finals)
  • S1 = Weeks 1 – 4 of the semester (5/18/2026 – 6/12/2026 plus finals)
  • A = Weeks 1 – 6 of semester (5/18/2026 – 6/26/2026)
  • S18 = Weeks 1 – 8 of the semester (5/18/2026 – 7/10/2026)
  • S2 = Weeks 5 – 12 of the semester (6/15/2026 – 8/6/2026 plus finals)
  • S2A = Weeks 5 – 8 of the semester (6/15/2026 – 7/10/2026)
  • B = Weeks 7 – 12 of the semester (6/29/2026 – 8/6/2026 plus finals)
  • S2B = Weeks 9 – 12 of the semester (7/13/2026 – 8/6/2026 plus finals)

Non-standard course offerings will not have a POT and do not follow the dates and deadlines on this calendar. Please refer to the non-standard tables on the withdrawal and refund webpages for deadline details. Start and end dates are shown in the Section Details on Course Explorer.

  • Time Tickets (earliest registration times) for Summer 2026 priority registration available to view on Student Self-Service. Open time tickets will be assigned the following day.

April 6

  • Priority registration begins for Summer 2026 for eligible continuing and returning students.

April 23

  • Open registration for Summer 2026 begins for new and all students.

May 11

  • Summer tuition and fee charges first appear on student accounts.

May 16 – June 19

May 17

  • Deadline for ALL students to CANCEL POTs SF, 1, S1, A, or S18 registration if not registered for any other summer session. 
  • Deadline for ALL students to CANCEL all summer classes via Student Self-Service.
  • This date does not apply to Non-standard course offerings. The deadline to cancel is the day prior to the first day of the course.

May 18

  • First day of instruction for POTs SF, 1, S1, A, and S18 classes.

May 22

  • Deadline for ALL students to add a POTs S1, A or S18 course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POTs S1, A or S18 course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.

May 25

  • Memorial Day (all campus holiday) – no classes

May 29

  • Deadline for ALL to add a POT SF course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POT SF course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop a POT S1 course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT S1 course.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in a POT S1 course.

June 5

  • Deadline for ALL students to drop a POT A course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT A course.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in a POT A course.
  • Deadline for GRAD to drop a POT S1 course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT S1 course.

June 12

  • Last day of instruction for POT S1.  Finals on last class day or the following day.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop a POT S18 course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT S18 course.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in a POT S18 course.
  • Deadline for GRAD to drop a POT A course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT A course.

June 14

  • Deadline for ALL students to CANCEL POTs 1, S2, or S2A registration via Student Self-Service, if not registered for any other summer POT course.

June 15

  • POT S1 (1st 4 week) and POT A (1st 6 week) grade entry enabled for Instructors in Faculty Self-Service.
  • First day of instruction for POTs S2 and S2A.

June 19

  • Juneteenth, observed (all-campus holiday) – no classes

June 22

  • Deadline for ALL students to add POT S2A course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POT S2A course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.
  • Deadline for GRAD to drop a POT S18 course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT S18 course.

June 24

  • Deadline to suppress directory information.
  • Deadline for ALL students to add POTs 1 or S2 course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POTs 1 or S2 course course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.

June 26

  • Last day of instruction for POT A.  Finals on last class day.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop a POTs SF or S2A course via Student Self-Service without grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade for a POTs SF or S2A course.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in a POTs SF or S2A course.
  • Deadline for Undergraduate & Vet Med students to apply to graduate in August via Student Self-Service. After this date, please contact your Academic Office for assistance.

June 28

  • Summer 2026 tuition and fee payment due if not enrolled in a payment plan.  Visit Pay My Bill for more information regarding payment options and due dates.
  • Deadline for ALL students to CANCEL POT B registration via Student Self-Service, if not registered for any other summer POT course registration via Student Self-Service, if not registered for any other summer POT course.

June 29

  • First day of instruction for for POT B.

July 2 at 2:00PM

  • 2:00 PM Faculty deadline for reporting POT S1, POT A and completed non-standard course grades.

July 3

  • Independence Day, observed (all-campus holiday) – no classes

July 5

  • Deadline for Graduate, Law & Medicine students to apply to graduate in August via Student Self-Service. After this date, please contact your Academic Office for assistance.

July 6

  • Deadline for ALL students to add POT B course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POT B course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.
  • Deadline for GRAD to drop POT S2A course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT S2A course.

July 10

  • Final exam schedule posted to Office of Registrar website and Course Explorer.
  • Last day of instruction for POTs S18 and S2A.  Finals on last class day.
  • Deadline for ALL to withdraw or drop POTs 1 or S2 course via Student Self-Service without grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in course for POTs 1 or S2.

  • Deadline for ALL students to CANCEL POT S2B registration if not registered for any other summer session.

  • First day of instruction for POT S2B.

July 17

  • Deadline for ALL students to add POT S2B course via Student Self-Service.
  • Deadline for ALL students to drop or change credit hours in a POT S2B course for tuition refund, if registered for any other summer POT course.
  • Deadline for ALL to withdraw or drop POT B course via Student Self-Service without grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in course for POT B.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use campus grade replacement option in course for POT B.

July 20

  • POT S1 and POT A grade entry reenabled for instructors in Faculty Self-Service. Any grades submitted at this time will not be viewable until after final grade entry.

July 24

  • Deadline for ALL to drop POT S2B course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W.  Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
  • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT S2B course.
  • Deadline for UG to file intent to use campus grade replacement option in POT S2B course.
  • Deadline for GRAD to drop a POTs 1, S2 or B course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POTs 1, S2 or B course.

July 31

  • Deadline for GRAD to drop a POT S2B course through the Graduate College Portal without grade of W.
  • Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT S2B course.

August 3

August 6

  • Last day of instruction for POTs SF, 1, S2, B and S2B.
  • Noon – reading day (no classes; no final exams) for POT SF, 1, S2, B and S2B.

August 7-8

  • Final examination period for POTs SF, 1, S2, B and S2B.

August 10

  • August degree conferral date (no commencement). Diplomas will be shipped in approximately 9 weeks.

August 12 at 2:00PM

August 19

  • College deadline for reporting Academic Standing. Students can view status the following day via Student Self-Service.

August 20

  • Transcripts on hold for GRADES are released.

September 1

  • Transcripts on hold for DEGREES are released.
