Reporting Services

The Office of the Registrar is the custodial office for the records of Illinois students.

As such, it periodically provides summary reports of student data to the campus. In addition, data is available via regularly produced batch reports (View Direct reporting tool and Eddie Reports) and through ad hoc data retrieval from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) via the Business Objects reporting tool or Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) access via Decision Support.

Student data is released only to authorized campus personnel for functions that are educationally related—the test imposed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974—and that meet the University’s criteria for non-commercial use. See instructions for requesting student data.

General Reports

Following are some general summary reports provided by the Office of the Registrar:

  • First or Ten-Day Enrollment Report: Produced by the Division of Management Information. Preliminary data is available after the tenth day of class, and official counts are available in November.
  • Freshman Profile: Based on ten-day enrollment. This report includes general admissions statistics and academic profiles of the incoming class, including distribution of standardized test scores, high school percentile rank, college preparatory classes, demographic information, non-Illinois enrollment by college, ethnic representation, and the general profile for each college.
  • View Direct and Eddie Reports: Batch reports produced from the Student Information System (SIS) data or EDW. Security access is required; contact your Unit Security Contact (USC).
