Revised Fall 2020 Time Tickets

Continuing or returning students will have an adjusted day/time when they can make changes to their Fall 2020 class schedule, if needed. Many students might not need to change any class registrations. The adjusted day/times are based on the original time tickets assigned for Fall 2020 registration and do not reflect any transfer or study abroad credit posted to the student record after May 1st. Time ticket assignments are based on the number of hours completed and special group identification, according to campus policy.
New Summer or Fall 2020 freshmen and transfer students will have adjusted time tickets based on the earned credits on their student records as of July 13th. New freshmen or transfer students do NOT qualify for the earliest scholar, Marching Illini, ROTC, etc time slots.  Students may register or adjust their schedule any time after the revised assigned time through the first day of classes without penalty.

When viewing your schedule in myIllini, the chart below helps explain the delivery methods of your courses.  If all courses display the word ‘Online’ for all parts of the course as shown in column 1, you have a fully online schedule and will not be expected on campus at any time during the semester.  If any part of a course requires in person attendance, the campus location, day(s) and time will be shown as in columns 2 – 4.   Column 3 shows a course with an in person requirement on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with an online requirement that is asynchronous, which means you can complete the work on your own schedule or as arranged with the instructor.  Column 4 shows a course with an in person requirement on Mondays and Wednesdays, with an online requirement that is synchronous, which means you must be online at the specified day and time.  Refer to the Course Explorer for more details about any course.

As You Register

Student Self-Service will control access based upon registration time, class size, academic program, maximum credit limit, and holds.

Some classes are listed in the class schedule as “authorization only.” Contact the department for approval before registering for one of these classes. If a hold that prevents registration has been placed on your record, it must be removed before you can register. Access to Student Self-Service to add or drop classes will be blocked until your holds are removed.

For full instructions, refer to our Registration Procedures.

Important Notice: Terms of Use

Student Self-Service is the University system to register for courses. When you do so, you agree to pay tuition and fees to the University according to the payment policies and schedules adopted by the Board of Trustees. If you wish to cancel your registration and thus avoid payment of tuition and fee charges, you must do so by 11:59 p.m. the day before the first day of instruction.

Unauthorized use of University of Illinois computer systems, data, or resources; unauthorized use of another individual’s identification, account, or password; or an attempt to gain unauthorized access is prohibited by university policy and may constitute a violation of Illinois state law. Access to Student Self-Service will be terminated if you are found to be making excessive unsuccessful registration attempts.
