UG = Undergraduate; GRAD = Graduate

Part of Term (POT) values indicate the time frame for the course.  The Class Schedule shows what part of term each course is scheduled in to assist with identifying deadlines:

  • 1 = full 16 week semester (approximately 8/24/2015 – 12/9/2015 plus finals)
  • A = first 8 weeks of the semester (approximately 8/24/2015 – 10/16/2015)
  • B = second 8 weeks of the semester (approximately 10/19/2015 – 12/9/2015 plus finals)

March 16

  • Priority registration Time Tickets (earliest registration times) for Fall 2015 available on Student Self-Service

April 6

  • Priority registration begins

April 27

  • Open registration begins for all except non-degree students

August 23

  • Deadline to cancel registration

August 24

  • First day of instruction for the Fall semester and POT A courses
  • Deadline for degree-seeking students to register for first classes without being charged $15 late fee penalty

August 25

August 27–September 4

  • Registration of part-time, non-degree students without penalty

August 28

  • Deadline to add a UG POT A course
  • Deadline to add a GRAD POT A course via Student Self-Service
  • Deadline for all students to drop POT A course for refund if reducing assessment range
  • Deadline to suppress directory information

September 4

  • Deadline to reduce semester program and receive refund if reducing assessment range
  • Deadline to add a UG semester course
  • Deadline to add a GRAD semester course via Student Self-Service and without approval
  • Deadline to add a GRAD POT A course via department office

September 7

  • Labor Day (all-campus holiday)

September 18

  • Deadline to drop UG POT A course via Student Self-Service without grade of W
  • Deadline to drop GRAD POT A course via Student Self-Service
  • Deadline to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in UG POT A course
  • Deadline to file intent to use Campus Grade Replacement option in UG POT A course

September 28

  • Full payment due for Fall 2015 charges unless on a payment plan

October 2

  • Deadline to drop a GRAD POT A course without grade of W
  • Deadline for GRAD students to elect credit/no credit for a POT A course or to change credit/no credit to a regular grade

October 13 (2:00PM)

  • Faculty deadline for reporting midterm grades for freshmen

October 16

  • Deadline to drop UG semester course via Student Self-Service without grade of W
  • Deadline to drop GRAD semester course via Student Self-Service
  • Deadline to remove UG incomplete grade from previous semester to prevent change to F grade
  • Deadline to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in UG semester course
  • Deadline to file intent to use Campus Grade Replacement option in UG semester course
  • Deadline for UG to withdraw from Fall semester without grade of W
  • Deadline for LAW students to drop semester course without grade of W

October 19

  • Priority registration Time Tickets (earliest registration times) for Spring 2016 available on Student Self-Service
  • POT B courses begin (non-traditional courses may begin earlier or later)

October 23

  • Deadline to add UG POT B course
  • Deadline to add GRAD POT B course via Student Self-Service
  • Deadline for all students to drop POT B course for refund if reducing assessment range

October 30

  • Deadline to withdraw from the University and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund

November 2

  • Priority registration for Spring 2016 begins

November 6

  • Deadline to add GRAD POT B course via Department Office

November 13

  • Deadline to drop UG POT B course via Student Self-Service without grade of W
  • Deadline to drop GRAD POT B course via Student Self-Service
  • Deadline to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in UG POT B course
  • Deadline to file intent to use Campus Grade Replacement option in UG POT B course
  • Deadline to drop GRAD semester course without grade of W

  • Reading day (no classes, no final examinations)
  • Last day for GRAD to add/drop POT B course without petitioning Graduate College
  • Last day for GRAD to add/drop semester course without petitioning Graduate College

December 11–18 (excluding weekend)
